MICHAEL
I'm asking you because you chose to let's see, skip school, and get into a fight. Do you know how much a good education means to your future?
BILLIE
Yes! I heard it my whole life. I'm not flunking out of school dad.
MICHAEL
Not yet.
BILLIE
Not everyone can be some big shot like you. Your just a stupid dentist that goes around the country trying to impress people.
MICHAEL
This stupid dentist puts food on the table and clothes on your back. I don't know what's going on with you.
BILLIE
Try my mom being dead dad. Did you ever think about that! My mom ended her life and I have a father that is never around! Well, maybe just to lecture me on life.
MICHAEL
I work hard so my family doesn't have to.
BILLIE
And that's the problem isn't it.
MICHAEL
What do you mean?
BILLIE
Do I have to spell it out for you? Maybe if you were around more than my mother would still be here!
